KSC Project Receives Excellence in Construction Award

Kanawha Stone Company was awarded the “Infrastructure Heavy: $50 to $100 Million” award at this year’s Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) Appalachia Chapter’s Excellence in Construction Awards Banquet.

Kanawha Stone Company is proud to have been recognized by the Associated Builders and Contractors of Appalachia for work completed on the WVDOT King Coal Highway – John Nash Boulevard to Airport Road.

KSC’s scope on this transformative project included 6.1 million cubic yards of excavation, with over 4 million cubic yards hauled to waste, requiring extensive earthmoving coordination and environmental management. The project also featured two structural steel bridges, built to WVDOH specifications, improving connectivity and transportation safety for the region.
