Kanawha Stone Company provided the civil construction services on an 85 MW solar farm and substation on a 128-acre site for a private energy client. The project included approximately 70,000 cubic yards of excavation, 28,000 cubic yards of basin excavation, clearing and grubbing of 135 acres, civil surveying and layout, access road construction, root and rock raking, laydown area construction, installation of construction entrances, silt fencing, diversion ditches, matting of all ditches, berms and basin, seeding and maintenance of erosion and sediment control, and quality control services.
