Kanawha Stone Company crews stabilized the dam faces using roller compacted concrete, along with minor concrete and structural repairs. The company was responsible for construction stakeout, dewatering and water control, erosion and sediment control, excavation, storm drain piping, trenching for a gas line and reclaiming disturbed areas once construction was complete. Kanawha Stone had to complete this project within the stringent timeline of 180 days and they met the West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection Dam Safety regulations.
