Kanawha Stone Company was responsible for construction of new sites for the development of numerous chain retail developments located in Greensburg, PA, Morgantown, WV, Nitro, WV, and Hurricane, WV. The projects totaled clearing and grubbing of 115 acres of woodland, excavation of a total of 5,324,566 cubic yards of rock and soil, removal of existing improvements and abandonment of an existing mall, new 4-lane access roads, substantial Erosion and Sediment Control systems with sediment and detention ponds, installation of 35,000 linear feet of sewer, water, and electrical utilities, traffic control and signalization, grading of all building pads and parking areas, asphalt pavement, and pavement markings.
