The Greenbrier Valley Airport Runway Safety Site Development project consisted of more than 2.9 million yards of excavation and grading work. The project included clearing/grubbing, water line relocation, erosion control devices, earthwork (on-site and off-site borrow), box culvert, drainage structures, drainage pipes, and additional construction activities. Kanawha Stone Company self-performed most of the tasks associated with the contract and met the subcontracting goals outlined by the contract through the utilization of various subcontractors.
Kanawha Stone Company was responsible for all drilling, blasting, survey, erosion and sediment control, grading and reclamation.
