Kanawha Stone Company provided construction services for a large water treatment facility for an energy client in West Virginia. The treatment facility repurposes water used from shale drilling after it is treated from salt, heavy metals, and wastes, rather than being disposed. The facility is the largest water treatment facility of its kind in the Appalachian Basin. Kanawha Stone completed approximately 500,000 cubic yards of excavation, 5 acres of clearing and grubbing, erosion and sediment controls, site utilities and access roads.
