Virginia L. King

Virginia oversees all business administration operations at Kanawha Stone and has been instrumental in the company’s sustained growth through diversification of the firm’s services. She helped facilitate the company’s movement into mass excavation, heavy civil engineering, and energy markets. Virginia also oversees all daily accounting and administrative functions for the company.


Amelia Randolph

Amelia is a second-generation shareholder at Kanawha Stone and has been instrumental in the company’s sustained growth through diversification of the firm’s services.


Ashley Lioi, PE

Ashley is a second-generation shareholder at Kanawha Stone and has been instrumental in the company’s sustained growth through diversification of the firm’s services.


Tom Kittredge, PMP

With deep and broad experience in every facet of project management, Tom provides his expertise to Kanawha Stone as President. Previously serving as President for a communications firm, and a regional engineering leader, Tom has plenty of experience with collaborating with his project management team to achieve far-reaching and ambitious milestones again and again. With a BA in both Mass Communications and Philosophy, Tom brings something unique to every discussion. With over 22 years of management experience, he understands the anatomy of a successful project.


Michael Salmons

Michael has a BA in Business from Marshall University in West Virginia and comes to Kanawha Stone with an amazing track record in business development, where he developed and implemented high growth strategies for his previous employers. As the Vice President of Business Development at Kanawha Stone, Michael creates new business growth for the company working with potential clients.


David Lawman

David’s focus at Kanawha Stone is in senior level management leadership. He provides oversight for all project activities, but he concentrates primarily on mass excavation, site development, and transportation markets. Beyond that, he is responsible for fiscal accountability and company-wide daily estimating and operations. David brings with him more than 30 years of civil engineering and project management experience.


Susan Lightner

As the director of accounting, Susan serves as the company-wide controller for Kanawha Stone and its 300+ employees. Her responsibilities include budget management, financial analysis, payroll, forecasting, AP, AR, and financial reporting. And when her hands aren’t full with all things related to accounting, Susan oversees the company’s Human Resources department.


Aaron Dunlap, CEM

Aaron manages Kanawha Stone Company's equipment fleet.  As a Certified Equipment Manager, Aaron takes care of finance, customer service, information detailing, policy, and controls for Kanawha Stone Company's massive equipment fleet.  Aaron ensures operation of Kanawha Stone Company projects through his daily management.


Brandon Sherman

Brandon serves a vital role at Kanawha Stone as manager of the company's fleet and facilities.  Brandon oversees procurement and management of supplies and labor that ensure Kanawha Stone Company employees and crews function efficiently.  By employing industry best practices, Brandon keeps daily operations flowing smoothly both at office facilities as well as in the field.


Arthur L. King

Art founded Kanawha Stone Company in 1973, where he served as President until 2013. He currently serves as Chief Executive Officer, Principal Stockholder, and Director. Art’s expert management spurred Kanawha Stone into the 300+ employee firm that services the construction demands throughout the Mid-Atlantic and Appalachian regions today.  Art has founded and directed several successful other business enterprises.  Additionally, Art has been recognized by the industry with several distinguished awards in his career.
